Volunteering..

Volunteers are always welcome!

Revelstoke Senior Citizens’ Association gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Columbia Basin Trust, a regional corporation created to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits to the residents of the Columbia Basin.

Volunteer Medical Transportation Program

This program provides rides to individuals from our community to medical appointments, both out of town and in town.  Volunteers for out of town rides are compensated for fuel, meal allowance and a little wear and tear on the vehicle.  We do not drive any further than Kelowna or Kamloops.

Volunteers will provide transporation with their own vehicle (the Seniors Association carries Excess 3rd Party Liability Insurance) & escort service to clients to their appointments.  Volunteers will not accompany clients into their appointment.  Volunteers are not required to have any special first aid or lifting assistance training.  Clients need to be able to get in and out of a vehicle on their own.

Volunteers are required to complete the Volunteer Application form, provide a Drivers Abstract and complete a Criminal Record Check.

This program is available to all individuals in the community.  Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older, have a good driving record, valid BC Drivers License, valid vehicle insurance, and a safe reliable vehicle.

Two forms are available below. The first is the Volunteer Application, the second is for Client Registration.
